...it all started after the birth of my second child in 1996. i went looking for my favorite nursing bra. i was saddened to find out that it no longer existed. i am a do-it-yourself kinda gal, so i took my old favorite tattered nursing bra and constructed one out of a floral breathable cotton lycra and added a midriff panel to cover my belly. my friends, lisa B. and jeff C., convinced me to start a line of nursing brassiere wear for moms like myself. i wanted all mothers to enjoy nursing while on the go, discreetly and without difficulty. i hired a wonderful pattern gal to perfect the pattern. she continues to patiently assist me as i come up with new ideas and designs. after obtaining a provisional patent in may 2000 and much hard work, i received a US patent in april of 2003. love yourself, love your baby.
